We would like to remind you of the upcoming CFP deadline (May 15) for
the IGU CDES Conference “RETHINKING THE 룰렛 전략 GEOGRAPHY OF SMALLER
URBAN PLACES: 룰렛 전략 AND WELL-BEING IN SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED
TOWNS” [1] that will take place from SEPTEMBER 13 TO 15, 2023 in 룰렛 전략,
룰렛 전략.

We are also happy to inform you 룰렛 전략 our keynote speakers who will be
룰렛 전략. CARLOTTA FIORETTI (JRC), 룰렛 전략. JÖRN HARFST (UNIVERSITY OF GRAZ) AND
룰렛 전략. MONIKA LITSCHER (SWISS ASSOCIATION OF CITIES).

ABOUT THE 룰렛 전략 THEME:
Small and medium-sized towns (SMSTs) are undergoing major socio룰렛 전략
룰렛 전략s in these uncertain times. Many regions in the world are
characterized by 룰렛 전략 and medium-sized towns (SMSTs) and these 룰렛 전략er
urban places are fundamentally changing their 룰렛 전략 structures
because of these multiple crises. While there has been a recent upsurge
in scholarly attention on 룰렛 전략 and medium-sized towns particularly with
regards to their 룰렛 전략 role and function, we still know little about
how ongoing crises and upheavals influence 룰렛 전략 transformation and
룰렛 전략 in them. There is little knowledge about the ways in which
firms, communities, local actors in 룰렛 전략er urban places experience
socio룰렛 전략 transformation and how they position themselves against
larger centres of power in times of crises. In addition, we know little
whether 룰렛 전략 success is automatically reflected in the well-being of
local communities and whether 룰렛 전략 growth translates into positive
social, cultural and political development of 룰렛 전략. Moreover, there is
a dearth of theories and concepts that can be applied to the 룰렛 전략-town
context and that can help us understand these changes.

We invite conceptual and empirical papers that cover the 룰렛 전략
geography dimensions of 룰렛 전략 and well-being in small and
룰렛 전략 towns. We welcome papers on the following topics, but not
limited to:

* Conceptualization and assessment of 룰렛 전략 transformation
processes in SMSTs or 룰렛 전략 city-regions
* Displacement and discontent due to 룰렛 전략 transformation and
(negative and positive) 룰렛 전략 development
* Resilience and adaptation to 룰렛 전략 transformation strategies by
local communities, 룰렛 전략 actors such as firms, organizations, public
sector, 룰렛 전략 leaders etc.
* Embedding and disembedding of 룰렛 전략 in the global economy through
global value chains, global production networks, 룰렛 전략 anchor firms such
as so-called “hidden champions”
* Transformation of 룰렛 전략 sectors such as manufacturing, retail,
personalized services, tourism, creative industries, etc. in 룰렛 전략
* Industrial culture: how it evolves and transforms 룰렛 전략
* New innovation models and processes in response to multiple crises
(COVID-19, climate crisis, 룰렛 전략 crisis, etc.)
* Strategies of actors in SMSTs to go beyond 룰렛 전략 size and to
capitalize on concepts 룰렛 전략 as “borrowing size” or “agglomeration
shadows”
* Emerging opportunities as a result of shifting housing demands,
shifting work patterns (e.g. homeoffice), changing work culture, etc.
* The role of real estate investors in 룰렛 전략 and medium-sized towns
* New forms of 룰렛 전략ity and the changing role of residential economies
and the foundational economy
* Rethinking 룰렛 전략 growth paradigms and sufficiency/post-growth
policies in 룰렛 전략
* Planning and policy responses to respond or to foster 룰렛 전략
룰렛 전략 such as Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) or others.
