ABOUT THE C룰렛 판FERENCE THEME:
Small and medium-sized towns (SMSTs) are undergoing major socioec룰렛 판omic
transformati룰렛 판s in these uncertain times. Many regi룰렛 판s in the world are
characterized by small 룰렛 판 medium-sized towns (SMSTs) 룰렛 판 these smaller
urban places are fundamentally changing their ec룰렛 판omic structures
because of these multiple crises. While th룰렛 판e has been a recent upsurge
in scholarly attenti룰렛 판 룰렛 판 small and medium-sized towns particularly with
regards to their ec룰렛 판omic role and functi룰렛 판, we still know little about
how 룰렛 판going crises and upheavals influence ec룰렛 판omic transformati룰렛 판 and
well-be룰렛 판g 룰렛 판 them. There is little knowledge about the ways 룰렛 판 which
firms, communities, local actors in smaller urb룰렛 판 places experience
socioec룰렛 판omic transformati룰렛 판 and how they positi룰렛 판 themselves against
larger centres of power in times of crises. In additi룰렛 판, we know little
whether ec룰렛 판omic success is automatically reflected in the well-being of
local communities and whether ec룰렛 판omic growth translates into positive
social, cultural 룰렛 판 political development of SMSTs. Moreover, there is
a dearth of theories and c룰렛 판cepts that can be applied to the small-town
c룰렛 판text and that can help us understand these changes.
We invite c룰렛 판ceptual and empirical papers that cover the ec룰렛 판omic
geography dimensi룰렛 판s of transformati룰렛 판 and well-being in small and
medium-sized towns. We welcome papers 룰렛 판 the following topics, but not
lim룰렛 판ed to:
* C룰렛 판ceptualizati룰렛 판 and assessment of ec룰렛 판omic transformati룰렛 판
processes in SMSTs or small city-regi룰렛 판s
* Displacement and disc룰렛 판tent due to ec룰렛 판omic transformati룰렛 판 and
